Here’s every song that plays during every episode of season 3 of Heartstopper, including standouts by Billie Eilish, Tom Odell, Sufjan Stevens, Olivia Rodrigo, Troye Sivan, Baby Queen, Wasia Project (which counts star William Gao as a member), and Rachel Chinouriri…
Heartstopper is back and the entire third season is now streaming on Netflix. The most recent season of the beloved YA series, based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, sees Charlie and Nick’s love story getting sweeter and more complicated.
“Heartstopper tracks are joyful, epic, heart-soaring romance anthems. The sort of music that makes you feel like a teenager again,” explains executive producer Patrick Walters.
If you’ve already finished streaming the season you already know that there are a number of big musical moments this season: There’s the usual blend of upbeat, dreamy pop as the gang enjoys days out at the beach, at the zoo and a raucous New Year’s Eve party, as well as moodier music during an intense Halloween party.
About the music at that party, Walters told Tudum that the transition from the end of Episode 3 into the moodier Halloween party in Episode 4 was a particularly proud musical moment this season. “We always try and make an episode’s ending have maximum impact with the right track,” he says. “I think that’s really well achieved with Katie Gregson-MacLeod’s ‘Complex’ at the end of Episode 3. It was also amazing to get ‘Blue’ by Billie Eilish into Episode 4 — the song in combination with Kit’s performance gives me goosebumps every time.”
