Behind the scenes: Stunts, explosions, and sex

The festival isn’t just about watching the movies; it’s also about lifting the curtain on how movies actually get made! The Ontario Screen Creators Conference (OSCC), which runs right alongside the film festival, features three days of super intriguing panel discussions including “STUNTS, EXPLOSIONS AND SEX”

This panel brings together three incredible experts who specialize in coordinating a film’s most memorable moments. You’ll get the secrets behind the action and steamy drama from this all-star lineup: Jen Viens, a queer filmmaker and Intimacy Coordinator who choreographs authentic love scenes; Alison Reid, one of North America’s first female Stunt Coordinators with over 300 credits and Samantha Little, a top-tier Weapons Safety Expert who ensures the most volatile props are used safely for the cameras.

The Forest City Film Festival returns for another year from Friday, October 24 until Sunday, November 2nd, 2025. For more information on the 2025 film festival schedule and the Ontario Screen Creators Conference, visit the official website.
