Summer is coming to a close and it’s almost time to cozy up for autumn. With the season change, a lot of TV favourites are set to return from hiatus.
The Apple TV+ series The Morning Show is back for a fourth explosive season with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Another murder at the Arconia puts Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez back on the case in Only Murders in the Building. Wednesday returns with part two of its second season, which features an appearance by Lady Gaga as well as a new song by the artist titled The Dead Dance.
Speaking of music, a documentary about Sarah McLachlan’s iconic Lilith Fair will make its streaming debut after its world premiere at TIFF.
Canadian Mae Martin, brings us their latest Netflix series Wayward. The comedian will star alongside Toni Collette in the thriller.

The Emmy Award winning series is back and taking viewers almost two years after the events of season three. Iconic Canadian singer-songwriter Jann Arden captivates the Massey Hall audience. The artist performs a mix of her favourite nineties pop covers all from her latest album, Mixtape.
SEPTEMBER 17 – LILITH FAIR: BUILDING A MYSTERY
This is the untold story of the groundbreaking music festival featuring only women artists. Lilith Fair was started by iconic Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan and her team in the late 1990s. It was in opposition to systematic industry barriers that limited women from playing together on a concert bill and getting back-to-back airplay on radio. The documentary draws from more than 600 hours of never-before-seen archival footage. It also has new interviews and stories from fans, festival organizers, and artists. The doc features commentary from original Lilith Fair artists Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Paula Cole, Jewel and Indigo Girls as well as a new generation of artists including Brandi Carlile and Olivia Rodrigo. As the film celebrates the festival’s legacy and impact, it also confronts the backlash that tried to diminish it. It will also explore what Lilith means in today’s world.

Sherlock Holmes (David Thewlis) is out of his comfort zone, mysteriously unable to investigate a sinister case without risking the lives of his closest friends. Then, young American Amelia (Blu Hunt) enters. After her mother’s mysterious murder, she learns her missing father may be the legendary detective. Despite wildly different backgrounds and attitudes, the pair must work together to solve a global conspiracy and crack her mother’s murder and find out for sure if she really is Sherlock’s daughter.
SEPTEMBER 9 – SEEN & HEARD: THE HISTORY OF BLACK TELEVISION
This two-part documentary takes viewers on a journey through the history of Black representation on television. The doc showcases how Black artists and creators both shaped and revolutionized the medium while confronting the systemic challenges that have often undermined their contributions. From early stereotypical portrayals to today’s more authentic and complex narratives, the series highlights how Black television makers have not only survived but thrived, despite the industry’s early reluctance to fully recognize their power and creativity. Both episodes of the docuseries premiere on the same day.
SEPTEMBER 19 – BEVERLY HILLS, 90210
It’s been 35 years since the iconic teen series debuted. Now all 10 seasons of the groundbreaking ’90s drama will be available to stream on Crave. The series follows the lives of a group of friends living in Beverly Hills, California, as they transition from high school to college and into the adult world. While it didn’t have a 2SLGBTQI+ main character, it had a few storylines throughout its decade-long run – like the one below. All 293 episodes will drop at once, so get ready.

SEPTEMBER 3 – ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING
After their beloved doorman, Lester, dies under suspicious circumstances, Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) refuse to believe it was an accident. Their investigation plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond, uncovering a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia. SEPTEMBER 19 – SWIPED
Many of us have likely used either Tinder or Bumble at some point, but do you know how those apps became essential to our dating lives? This new film is inspired by the provocative real-life story of Whitney Wolfe (Lily James), the visionary founder of online dating platform Bumble. A recent college grad, Wolfe uses her extraordinary grit and ingenuity to break into the male-dominated tech industry. Launching an innovative, globally lauded dating app (two, actually), she paves the way to become the youngest female self-made billionaire.

SEPTEMBER 3 – WEDNESDAY
Part one of the second season ended with death and the escape of Tyler Galpin aka Hyde (Hunter Doohan). In part two, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) meets her new spirit guide and tries to fix her mistake at Willow Hill. Lady Gaga makes her debut as Rosaline Rotwood, described as someone “cloaked in mystery.” She is also dropping a new single, The Dead Dance, for the series.
SEPTEMBER 25 – WAYWARD
Mae Martin invites us to join them in Tall Pines…where they think we’ll be happy. After an escape attempt from an academy for “troubled teens,” two students join forces with a new local police officer, unearthing the town’s dark and deeply rooted secrets. The thriller also stars Toni Collette.

School is back in session. As the rest of America adjusts to Homelander’s iron fist, back at Godolkin University, the mysterious new Dean (Hamish Linklater) preaches a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever. Set in the same universe as The Office, the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it. Oscar Nunẽz reprises his 2SLGBTQI+ character, Oscar, from The Office in the new series.

A tribute to drag superstar The Vivienne, this documentary has friends and family sharing their touching stories of the RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner and her legacy. Interviews and unreleased footage showcase her unique personality and how her passion for entertaining left a mark in the world. SEPTEMBER 7 – DRAG RACE ESPAÑA
Supremme De Luxe, Ana Locking and Los Javis (Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi) are back for season five of this Spanish Drag Race franchise. On September 7, we meet the fierce queens vying for the crown. While no premiere date is set, World of Wonder teases it will be later in September.
