Watch The Trailer For ‘Twinless’ Starring James Sweeney & Dylan O’Brien

The movie follows O’Brien’s character Roman as he befriends Sweeney’s character Dennis at a twin support group after their siblings’ deaths…

Roadside Attractions has released the first official trailer for Twinless, which premiered and won rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Twinless stars Dylan O’Brien as Roman, a straight man who just lost his identical twin brother Rocky to a car accident. The film opens at Rocky’s funeral, where Roman and his mother (Lauren Graham) mourn Rocky’s passing while a sea of onlookers join them. Later, at a support group for people grieving their twins, Roman meets the equally disarrayed Dennis (played by writer-director James Sweeney), a gay man depressed over losing his own twin brother as they grieve in a sensitive environment.

“In Twinless, two young men meet in a twin support group and form an unlikely friendship,” reads a synopsis. “Roman and Dennis both search for solace and an identity without their other halves and soon become inseparable outside the group. But when Roman meets Dennis’ ebullient co-worker Marcie, all is revealed to be not what it seems, as each man harbors secrets that could unravel everything.”

After the film’s hit Sundance premiere IN Magazine‘s Matthew Creith wrote: “Twinless can, at times, be a comical look at a depressing subject like losing a loved one. But in its twisted tale of jealousy and longing, the film evolves into an engrossing and striking story that leaves an impression once the credits begin to roll.”

Aisling Franciosi, Tasha Smith, Abbott Elementary‘s Chris Perfetti, Francois Arnaud, Susan Park and Cree also star in Twinless

Twinless hits theatres across the country on September 5, 2025. You can watch the just-released trailer below:
