The bracket three queens compete in an acting challenge for their last shot at making it to the semi finals. Actress Mayan Lopez is a guest judge…
Last week fans were divided after Ginger Minj took home her second win of the competition so far. The queens competed in a good old fashioned Hoedown Throwdown with a songwriting and performance girl group challenge. With her in the top was Denali, who many fans think should have won the lip sync. This week, the queens will give it a go with an acting challenge before three queens are chosen to get to the next round. Let’s get into it.
This week’s episode begins back in the werk room with the four safe queens entering and immediately heading over to the couches. Alyssa and Daya talk about their Untucked conversation and Daya hopes Alyssa stays true to her word and gives her a point. Ginger and Denali walk into the room. Denali is still proud of her top two position and is grateful. Alyssa says she’s confused that Ginger won the lip sync, which makes Ginger feel bad. Daya gets the ball rolling with MVQ points and gives hers to Cynthia. Cynthia gives hers to Daya. Acid tearfully gives hers to Cynthia, and Alyssa gives hers to Cynthia as well, putting her in the top three, and Daya is pissed.
It’s a new day and the queens are ready for their final challenge before the semi-finals. Around the table, Ginger addresses Alyssa directly about hurting her feelings about winning the lip sync. Alyssa says at least she’s not fake and Daya takes it as her chance to dig in. Their argument is interrupted by Ru, who tells them that for this week’s maxi challenge they’ll be improv-ing their way through a new reality dating show, The Golden Bitchelor. Each of the queens will be in doggy drag and working in pairs for 2-in-1 dates with actor Zane Phillips.
They split into their pairs and Alyssa and Ginger squash their beef so they don’t bring any drama into their performance. Cynthia and Acid are paired and vow to do anything they need to in order to get to the next round. It’s Cynthia’s first improv challenge and Alyssa was eliminated on her season during an improv challenge. Daya and Denali are the final pair and they’re feeling really confident with their characters. They scheme to keep themselves in the top.
The challenge begins with Zane and his Bitchelor intro. One by one the queens meet Zane as their new fursonas. The two on one dates begin with Cynthia and Acid starting. The two of them work well together and manage to get a few jokes in. Alyssa and Ginger’s date is next. Alyssa tries her best to keep up, but Ginger is a stronger performer. Finally, Denali and Denali’s date is last but they’re more into each other than Zane, but they’re pretty evenly matched.
It’s elimination day and everybody’s feeling good about their performance in the challenge. Ginger starts campaigning for points but her and Daya talk in the corner and it could be anybody’s chance to get to the next round. Daya tells Alyssa she can’t trust her anymore and says she wasn’t true to her word, which annoys Alyssa. Cynthia breaks the tension up while they finish getting ready for the runway. Out on the main stage, Ru introduces this week’s panel of judges, Michelle, Ts Madison, and this week’s extra special guest judge actress Mayan Lopez.
This week, the category on the runway is “Paper Dolls”. The queens strut in their showstopping looks made of paper. Critiques begin with Alyssa. Michelle calls her look fantastic and different, and Mayan loves the details. Ts says there were only a couple of moments in the challenge that landed and Michelle says she got lost in it. Ts tells Ginger that the improv was coming so fast and Ru tells her that her listening in the challenge gave her an advantage. Michelle doesn’t like her Elizabethan look saying she’s over “Marie Antoinette looks/anything else from that time” but says she likes that Ginger used books for her look. Mayan loves Denali’s cultural look and Michelle calls it fantastic. All the judges agree that she started off a little confused in the challenge but got there in the end. Daya is next and Mayan loved how her energy commanded the screen, which Michelle agrees with. Ru tells her it was a good night for her and Ts is really impressed with her paper look. Next, Michelle says “no shame” to Acid’s Marie Antoinette look because it’s made of paper. All of the judges loved how far she went with her character in the challenge. Finally, all of the judges loved her in the improv challenge, but weren’t on board with her “remission fiesta” runway look.
Following deliberations, Ru announces this week’s top two queens are Ginger and Daya Betty. The two top queens lip sync for the bonus point to Mama Used To Say by Junior. A win for Daya means she’ll go to the next round, so she’s putting everything into this performance, but it won’t be an easy fight against Ginger. Ru selects Daya as the winner of the lip sync, securing her spot in the next round. The safe queens are asked to step forward to give their MVQ points away. Cynthia gives hers to Alyssa. Denali gives hers to Acid. Alyssa gives hers to Denali tying her with Cynthia, and finally, Acid gives hers to Cynthia, allowing her to advance to the next round. As Ginger, Cynthia, and Daya go on to the next round, Ru tells Denali, Alyssa, and Acid that they’ll still have a chance to get back in the competition with the wild card lottery.
Next week on All Stars: The semi finals begin! The top three from each bracket return to the werk room and immediately get into it with Snatch Game.
