Could North Americans be done with bareback? While we don’t know what goes on in the bedroom, we do know it is no longer the most viewed category of gay porn.
Pornhub released its 2025 Pride Insights, looking into the most viewed porn categories globally as well as by age and gender. The insights showed interests have changed since 2024. Bareback is no longer the most viewed category in North America and a twink death is happening in parts of South America.
So, what is the world watching in terms of gay porn? Let’s break it down for you. But fair warning, this post is NSFW.
Canada and Brazil like big dick energy
Bareback dominated Canada in 2024, but this year’s data suggest we’re size queens. Big dick was the most viewed category in the country for 2025, but we weren’t the only ones loving big dick energy (BDE). Brazil was also into big dicks abandoning the twink category. Luckily a majority of South America still craves twink content, with the exception of Chile who was viewing more content by Black adult performers.
Speaking of big dick, a Canadian performer also topped the list. The world is seemingly obsessed with hung Montrealer Malik Delgaty with Pornhub crowning him the most viewed performer.
Twinks are supreme in Europe, but there are other interest
Twinks still dominate Europe, but when looking at each country individually there are some diverse tastes.
Czechia and Italy get the job done…but in different ways. Handjobs are popular in Czechia, while blowjobs are preferred in Italy. When it comes to solo or group play, Switzerland is into solo male content and Ukraine likes a good old fashion group sex category. Ireland wants a daddy and Polish people pine over straight guys. Americans are divided in their porn viewing
The United States also viewed less bareback content turning their focus to Black adult performers this year. Breaking this down further, four categories did well in terms of American viewership. Beyond Black adult performers the other categories included big dick, twink and straight guys.
The gender gap is closing, while Gen Z and Baby Boomers have a commonality
The gap between male and female viewers is closing. The male audience represented 53 per cent, while females rose +4 percentage points to 47 per cent. Pornhub believes the increase is due to female audiences watching solo male content, which typically features gay performers.
Looking at age, Gen Z and Baby Boomers may not be so different after all. The 18-24 and 65+ age groups liked watching the military category more than other age group. The 18-24 year old age bracket also viewed the most porn at 27 per cent followed by 24-34 year olds (20 per cent) and 35-44 year olds (15 per cent)
