Meet The Judges For The First-Ever Drag King Competition Series

King of Drag, hosted by Murray Hill, debuts June 22 and we are getting a look at its permanent and guest star judging panel…

This past December, LGBTQ+ platform Revry announced the first ever drag king competition series King of Draghosted by legend Murray Hill.

Premiering June 22, the show will see eight of America’s best drag kings duke it out to be named the first ever King of Drag. Over six episodes, the kings will showcase their comedy talents, give audiences unconventional performances and commentary on masculinity. Contestants will represent transmasculine people, cisgender women, nonbinary individuals and more.

Now, we are getting a first look at the judges who will step into “The King’s Court” and help Hill decide who will get the inaugural title.

The permanent judging panel will include Drag King’s Tenderoni and Wang Newton, Revry co-founder and CEO Damian Pelliccione and RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Sasha Velour (winner of season 9) and Gottmik (season 13 and All Stars 9).

The show’s roster of guest judges includes Kylie Sonique Love (RuPaul’s Drag Race season 2 and winner of All Stars 6), Carmen Carerra (RuPaul’s Drag Race season three), Real Housewives star Lisa Rinna, recent Tony nominee Cole Escola, Yellowjackets star Liv Hewson, American Horror Stories actor Jeff Hiller, A Simple Favor director Paul Feig and more.

When the series was announced, Hill spoke about their excitement for the series. “I started performing in 1995, so it’s long overdue for the kings to take center stage. This vibrant community deserves to be in the spotlight, and I’ll be their biggest hype man,” he said in a statement. “I can’t wait to work with the kings and introduce them to the biggest audience possible, thanks to Revry. That’s showbiz.”

You can watch King of Drag on Revry starting Sunday, June 22.
