Adult content creator Drake Von is taking on an exciting new role this EDC Weekend as the host of Ultra Load: The Gay Village, the first-ever LGBTQ+ pool party festival held during Las Vegas’ iconic Electric Daisy Carnival. Set against the vibrant backdrop of the Alexis Park All Suite Resort from May 16–18, Ultra Load will welcome over 3,000 LGBTQ+ revelers and allies to a groundbreaking day-club experience filled with world-class DJs, all-gay service staff, and non-stop poolside celebrations. As a bold new addition to EDC Weekend, Ultra Load is setting a new standard for inclusive daytime spaces—and Drake Von is ready to help lead the charge with his signature charisma, energy, and passion for community.
Drake, you’re hosting Ultra Load: The Gay Village during EDC Weekend—what can guests expect from this groundbreaking LGBTQ+ takeover of Sin City?
Definitely not your average pool party. This is Vegas and we’re going to show you how to party. It’s a full-on queer fantasy. Great music, hot bodies, and a vibe you won’t get anywhere else in the city.
Why is creating queer spaces like The Gay Village during major events like EDC so important?
Because we’ve always been part of the scene. Now we get a space that’s fully for us—to celebrate, feel safe, and be seen.
How does it feel to be at the center of it all?
It feels amazing. This kind of space is overdue and I’m proud to be part of something that has been missing in Vegas.
Tell us about the venue—Alexis Park All Suite Resort. Why is it the perfect setting?
It’s got that old-school Vegas charm, but once our crowd takes over, the energy shifts. It’s intimate, sexy, and just the right kind of chaos.
Speaking of charm, will you be bringing it as the live host?
I will bring the fun, for sure. A little glam, a little mess, and a lot of heart, too. I love connecting with people and making sure everyone’s having a good time.
The lineup includes DJs, dancers, and adult stars. Any surprise moments we should look out for?
Oh yeah—there’ll be a few unannounced appearances, some spicy moments, and performances you’ll wish you could replay… but probably shouldn’t film.
What do you hope Ultra Load represents for the LGBTQ+ community in the festival scene?
That we belong front and center. Queer spaces can be bold, beautiful, and unforgettable, Ultra Load is all of that. Come and Be you no judgements.
What are you most excited for personally during Ultra Load weekend?
Drake Von: Just being in the moment. Hosting, dancing, vibing with the crowd—it’s gonna be a weekend I won’t forget.
