Lush Cosmetics has partnered with trans TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney to launch the limited-edition bath bomb, The Late Bloomer, in celebration of Mulvaney’s forthcoming memoir, Paper Doll: Notes From a Late Bloomer. The limited-edition rose-shaped bath bomb has a heavenly rose scent and creates soft, pretty pink waters with rose petals when its bath time.

Never one to shy away from the extreme transphobia that she faces online and despite setbacks and backlash, Mulvaney is determined to spread positivity and queer joy.

“This is a “pinch me” highlight of my career,” says Mulvaney. “Lush has been a staple throughout every chapter of my life, including working there as a teenager and I am so grateful to them for supporting both me and the trans community.”

Mulvaney and Lush Cosmetics have a long history: As a former shop employee at the Westfield UTC San Diego Lush location, Mulvaney shares that Lush has been a staple in her home for years.

Lush, of course, has a deep history of supporting the LGBTQ+ community, with over two decades of both in-shop and online campaigns to raise awareness and funding support (You can check out Lush’s full history of queer campaigns right here). The collaboration with Mulvaney is another example of Lush’s innovative approach to ensuring that the trans community is both visible and celebrated. With every purchase of The Late Bloomer bath bomb, customers will also receive a copy of Lush’s Allyship to Action booklet, to ensure that everyone knows how to support trans people.

“The Late Bloomer Bath Bomb aims to raise $50,000 and we’ll turn that right back out to trans-led organizations doing essential work for the trans community at this politically, socially and culturally critical time in North America,” says Carleen Pickard, Advocacy & Activism Manager at Lush Cosmetics. “We’re grateful to Dylan for her leadership, resilience and partnership with Lush so that we can continue to uplift and empower trans people everywhere.”

The Late Bloomer bath bomb ($9.00 CAD), will join Lush’s range of giving products, with 75% of the purchase price (minus the taxes) supporting trans-led organizations working to ensure that trans people thrive. Visit lush.com.
