The remaining queens flex their impersonation skills with an iconic challenge. Writer and actress Quinta Brunson is a guest judge…
Last week after a truly (sea) sickening ball, we said goodbye to Hormona Lisa after the judges agreed she could have given us more with her three looks. Arrietty had claimed the top spot with her gorgeous collection of looks and came back fighting from her bottom spot the week before. This week, the queens will take on the show’s most iconic challenge when they get into character to play Snatch Game! Let’s get into it.
This week’s episode begins in the werk room following Hormona’s elimination. The queens aren’t exactly sad to see her go. In confessionals, Lana admits her confidence is a bit shaken but she wants to come back stronger. Over on the couches the queens congratulate Arrietty on her massive comeback. Crystal is frustrated to have not won last week. Suzie knows design isn’t her strongest skill, so she says she’s happy to be safe this week. They get out of drag and recycle their outfits.
It’s a new day, and with one less queen in the werk room, the queens realize Hormona left her famous bob for them in the werk room. Ru enters the room in full sequins and tells the queens that the world is a crazy place and sometimes you just have to laugh, so the queens will be playing the Snatch Game. They’ll have to impersonate a celebrity and make the judges and Ru laugh. No reading challenge this episode, so the queens get right to work on their costumes and impersonations. Onya reveals she’s doing Eddie Murphy since she’s been watching his work her whole life, so she’s comfortable. Acacia is doing internet icon Trisha Paytas and Suzie is confidently heading into the challenge doing Ellen Greene and she wants her third win. Lydia is excited and reasonably nervous after her performance in the last comedy challenge.

Ru checks on the queens and surprises them with a visit from Global All Star Alyssa Edwards! Ru and Alyssa make their way around the werk room talking to the girls in groups about their characters, and giving them advice about their picks. Lydia’s pick of David Lynch might be the right amount of off-beat to stand out in this challenge. Arrietty has chosen to play Baby Cupid and is worried about not overshadowing the others, but also not doing too much. Ru asks Kori why she wears the same mesh booties on the runway which gags all of the queens.

Ru asks Onya why she’s chosen Eddie Murphy when she has been calling her “Mrs. Barry White” (Glodean James White) for six weeks straight, but she insists on sticking with Eddie. Before leaving Ru tells the girls that this week’s extra special guest judge is Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson.
It’s time to play Snatch Game, and this year we have Alyssa Edwards playing against a butt plug voice assistant called Gay I. Let’s meet the contestants. Acacia as Trisha Paytas, Suzie as Ellen Greene, Lexi as Gilbert Gottfried, Sam as pageant coach Kim Gravel, Lana as civil rights hero Rosa Parks, Onya as Eddie Murphy, Arrietty as Baby Cupid, Lydia as David Lynch, Jewels as Miss Bigfeet (femme bigfoot), Crystal as early 2000s Nicole Richie, and finally, Kori as Big Ang. Right out of the gates some of the queens are making Ru and the others laugh while some queens stumble over their introduction jokes. Lana’s Rosa Parks is falling flat fast, but Onya’s Eddie Murphy is hitting the right notes. Lexi is struggling with Gilbert, but she’s still making Ru laugh. Lydia’s David Lynch isn’t crashing and burning like she thought it would and Jewels’s Miss Big Feet is really funny. On the flip side, Crystal’s Nicole Richie is flatlining, hard. Overall, most of the queens were able to volley jokes with Ru, but there are a few clear bottoms.
It’s elimination day and some of the queens are feeling pretty confident with their performances in the challenge. Some of the other queens admit that it was way harder than they thought it would. Suzie notes that Onya had the best reaction in the room but is optimistic that she could still get the win and all of the other queens are calling delusion because they were all a little disappointed with her performance, and Sam makes sure to say it to her face. Out on the runway Ru introduces this week’s panel of judges, Michelle, Ross, and this week’s extra special guest judge, Quinta Brunson! This week on the runway, the category is “Nailed It!” and the queens walk the runway in gorgeous looks to showcase their sickening nails.

After the runway, Ru calls Acacia, Suzie, Kori, and Lydia forward and tells them they are safe, and Suzie’s face is CRACKED. The rest of the queens represent the tops and bottoms of the week. Critiques start with Lexi. The judges love her Cher-inspired runway. Michelle says she flopped in Snatch Game but she flopped funny. Her being in on it actually worked to her advantage. Quinta tells Sam her plastic surgery outfit was beautiful, and even though she didn’t know who her Snatch Game character was, she did a great job at being entertaining. Michelle tells her she gives her the most points of being prepared, but her impersonation was too polished, and they urge her to start getting uncomfortable to surprise herself. Quinta loves Lana’s runway and Ross tells her that her Snatch Game fell flat. Quita and Michelle agree she could have gone anywhere with Rosa but she faded into the background instead. Michelle tells Crystal that her she-wolf runway look is super fun, and Ross tells her her Snatch Game was really rough. Ross loves Jewels’s look and Quinta loved her Miss Big Feet character and appreciated that she said yes to everything. Ross says Arrietty didn’t go anywhere with her Baby Cupid was just not good, but her look on the runway is a 10 out of 10. Quinta tells Onya her look feels like home and Ross tells her that her Eddie was a slam dunk because she didn’t fall too far into an impersonation, and instead let herself shine through.
Following deliberations, Ru announces that the winner of this week’s challenge is Onya Nerve! Lexi, Jewels, Sam, and Arrietty are all safe. This leaves Lana and Crystal both up for elimination. The two bottom queens lip sync for their lives to “Hands to Myself” by Selena Gomez.

It’s Lana’s second week in a row being in the bottom, so she goes hard from the jump, but Crystal matches the energy, and it’s a real battle to the last note. Ru decides that Lana will stay in the competition, which means it’s the end for Crystal Envy.
Next week on RuPaul’s Drag Race: It’s rusical week with a Wicked twist. Adam Lambert is a guest judge.
