Alex Consani & Valentina Sampaio Make History As First-Ever Trans Models To Walk The Victoria’s Secret Runway

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back after a five-year hiatus — and history was made on the runway at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York City on Tuesday, October 15, 2025. Models Alex Consani and Valentina Sampaio made history as the first transgender models to ever walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

A revamped version of the Victoria’s Secret show returned last year after it was canceled in 2019 amid criticism that the show and the company’s products were not inclusive. However, the 2024 runway show marks the first time in five years that it reverted back to the traditional runway format, which aired on network television for nearly 20 years before finding its place on Prime Video.

Alex Consani walked the Victoria’s Secret runway wearing a sequin embellished sleeveless bra top featuring a scoop neckline and a midriff-baring cropped hem. It was paired with matching bikini bottoms, an embellished waist chain, star-adorned blue wings, and a pair of silver stilettos. Valentina Sampaio wore a black bikini set featuring a sequinned bralette and matching high-cut bottoms. The lingerie set was styled with a black see-through mesh skirt, stilettos embellished with crystal straps, hoop earrings, and Victoria’s Secret wings made with exaggerated black bows.

Prior to the 2024 runway show, Victoria’s Secret had made a pledge to make this year’s show inclusive and that the show would “deliver precisely what our customers have been asking for—the glamour, runway, fashion, fun, wings, entertainment—all through a powerful, modern lens reflecting who we are today. We’re thrilled to share a women-led articulation of this iconic property later this year!”
