The all star queens compete in a lip-sync battle royale with a few shocking twists and turns before we find out which queens are heading to the finale…
Last week our all stars sang, danced, and acted their way through one of the best rusicals in Drag Race herstory. There were truly no weak performances from any of the queens during the challenge but it was Jorgeous and Shannel won the two top spots along with two badges each, which they decided to give one and other on the main stage. They also tied with the lip sync, so they both received tip money for their charities. This week the queens will take it back to the main stage to compete in a Lip-Sync Lalaparuza Smackdown and I’m sure there will be enough twists and turns to keep us on our toes. Let’s get into it.
This week’s episode begins in the werk room following the double win. Everyone is in high spirits since the ruby snippers have been officially retired for the season. Shannel now has two badges, which she’s feeling really good about and Jorgeous is officially in the four badge club with the top competitors. Shannel tells Jorgeous the reason she picked her to give her extra badge is because Jorgeous was the only one who spoke up and said she would give her extra one to Shannel. In confessionals Nina says it’s a terrible play since she’s essentially put Jorgeous at the top. Now it’s a tight race since all the queens have either two, three, or four badges, and anything could still happen and nobody feels safe.
It’s a new day and the queens are feeling ready to take on whatever this week has in store for them. Around the table they’re taking a tally of what challenges they’ve already done while they try to figure out what could possibly be coming this week. Vanjie reveals she and Roxxxy have a flirtatious history which Roxxxy replies by saying she was the “original Brooke Lynn.” Everybody (Angeria) is gagged. Ru appears in the werk room to tell the queens that for this week’s maxi challenge they’ll be competing in a good ol’ lip sync smackdown. Immediately Nina is worried because Jorgeous is an amazing lip syncer, and she’s already got four badges. The top two all stars will each receive one badge each and the winner will get $10,000 for their charity, so nothing new here. The current badge count is; Roxxxy, Plastique and Jorgeous with four. Angeria has three, and Gottmik, Nina, Shannel, and Vanjie all have two. But there’s still time for any of them to make it to the top three.
The queens get into lip sync assassin drag and Jorgeous has been waiting all season for this challenge. Plastique has lost four lip syncs in a row, so she’s feeling a little worried going into this challenge. This group of queens is tough competition. Vanjie is ready to perform against everybody she needs to to get to the top and Nina hasn’t been doing so well with lip syncs this season, so she feels like she has something to prove. Angeria is ready to do whatever she has to do to get to the finale. Roxxxy has a great track record for lip syncing on the main stage and she knows exactly what it takes to win. They talk about what unspoken rules they have for lip syncing and Jorgeous tells Angie she blocks the girls on the main stage which opens up a little bit of a discussion.
Out on the main stage Ru makes her grand entrance and introduces this week’s panel of All Star judges. It’s just family today with Michelle and Ross sitting on the panel. The queens walk the runway in their lip sync outfits and they’re looking ready to literally slay the competition. The lip sync battle will go as follows; the queens will lip sync in pairs, whoever wins will advance.

The top two queens will lip sync for the $10,000 donation tip. Pit stop crew member Bruno will spin his drum and randomly grab a ball with a queen’s name on it. The first name he picks is Gottmik. Mik chooses Angeria as her opponent, which the other queens think is a bad idea. Angeria gets to choose the song from a list of fan-favourites. Angie picks My Lovin’ by En Vogue.
The first lip sync of the week pops off and both queens are giving it their all. The song is definitely geared more towards Angeria’s strengths, but that’s not stopping Mik from holding her own on the stage. Ru announces that the winner of the first battle is Angeria. She will advance and Gottmik will get to watch the remainder of the lip syncs from the werk room. The next name Bruno picks from the drum is Vanjie. Miss Vanjie picks Plastique as her opponent and Plastique picks When I Grow Up by The Pussycat Dolls, which was also Vanjie’s first choice. Vanjie and Plastique have similar lip sync styles, so their performance is neck in neck. Both give high-energy flexibility and hairography, but in the end it’s Vanjie who takes the win. Plastique heads backstage to join Gottmik.
Next, Bruno pulls Nina’s ball out of the spinner. Nina picks Shannel to lip sync against her and Shannel chooses You Spin Me Round by Dead or Alive. This pair is pretty well-matched and both give a lot of passion in their performances which surprises some of the other queens. Ru crowns Shannel as the winner of this round and Nina heads backstage to join the others. The final pairing for the first round is Jorgeous and Roxxxy and Bruno will picks Roxxxy’s ball to pick the song. Roxxxy decides on Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler and the girls get right down to it. There’s no shortage of sickening reveals in this lip sync and both queens are doing everything they possibly can to advance. After a sickening performance Roxxxy moves onto the next round. Roxxxy gets tearful explaining the sentimental meaning of the song to her and Jorgeous heads back to the werk room.
The next round begins as Bruno spins the wheel and pulls Vanjie’s ball out of the drum. Vanjie picks Shannel as her second opponent. Shannel chooses I’m Every Woman by Chaka Khan (which is the song Vanjie wanted anyways). Both queens are giving dream girl realness but it’s Shannel who moves on to the final round and wins her third badge in two weeks. Vanjie heads backstage to join the others. Roxxxy and Angeria are the final pairing of this round. Groove is in the Heart by Deee-Lite is the only song left, so that’s what they’re lip syncing to. Right from the jump it’s high energy, fun, and seriously sexy. Ru decides that Roxxxy wins and will receive the second badge. After a costume change, the top two queens head back to the main stage to lip sync for the $10,000 tip. They perform for the third time this week to Break Free by Ariana Grande. Both queens make it clear they want that tip because the performance is nothing short of fierce, fierce, FIERCE. Ru picks Roxxxy as the winner of the week and she’s officially one of the most decorated lip sync assassins in the show’s herstory. All of the queens hop back up on the stage and Ru does a quick tally of all of the badges. Ru tells the queens to not give up hope because the top three queens will not be revealed until the end of next week’s grand finale.
Next week on All Stars: We’re just getting started, it’s only part one of a two part grand finale and the stakes are high and lipstick voting returns to the competition.
