Watch The Dramatic Trailer For Young Royals Season 3

The highly-anticipated third and final season of Netflix’s popular gay Swedish drama, Young Royals, returns to screens in a few weeks…

Wilhelm and Simon are back! Almost. Sweden’s breakthrough YA series Young Royals returns to Netflix for its third and final season this March. Since its premiere in 2021 we’ve been on quite the journey with the Crown Prince and his classmate and from the look of the just-dropped season 3 trailer… things are going to get even more dramatic.

Young Royals stars Edvin Ryding as Wilhelm, the Crown Prince of Sweden’s royal family (he was actually the second-born prince of Sweden), as he attends Hillerska boarding school, and Omar Rudberg as Simon, a fellow student whom Wilhelm falls in love with. Malte Gårdinger stars as August, while Frida Argento stars as Simon’s sister Sara, and Nikita Uggla stars as fellow classmate Felice.

Season two ended with a very public declaration of love, with the two finally on the same page with where their feelings lie and their relationship with each other stands. Where does this leave us for season three?

Netflix’s official description for the third season reads: Wilhelm’s speech has consequences not only in the court but also throughout the school, as Hillerska confronts the worst crisis in the school’s history. The prince and Simon are determined to be together, but what are they willing to sacrifice when realizing that their freedom and love might be at odds with the Royal ideals, traditions, and responsibilities?

Here’s the just-dropped trailer for the third and final season of Young Royals.

Young Royals will have a split premiere on Netflix this March — episodes 1 through 5 will drop on March 11, followed by the series finale on March 18.
