Apple Fitness+ Celebrates Pride 2023 With Madonna Artist Spotlight Series

In celebration of Pride, Fitness+ is introducing a new Artist Spotlight series featuring music by longtime social activist and ally, Madonna. Plus, watch for new workouts and meditations that will shine a light on the 2SLGBTQI+ community…

Apple Fitness+ is not just about workouts, it’s also about the music that moves you. In celebration of the upcoming Pride season, Apple has announced that pop icon Madonna will be the latest music superstar highlighted in its popular Artist Spotlight series, which dedicates an entire set of workouts to a single artist and their discography.

Madonna’s music will be featured in eight specially curated HIIT, rowing, cycling, core, treadmill, strength, dance and yoga workouts. In a cycling workout, Fitness+ trainer Tyrell Désean empowers users to express themselves while rocking a white lace wedding dress, obviously inspired by Madonna’s legendary performance of “Like A Virgin” at the 1984 MTV Video Music Awards. In a rowing workout, Fitness+ trainer Anja Garcia encourages users to break a sweat in a hot pink look, a nod to Madonna’s iconic “Material Girl” music video. All of the Madonna-inspired workouts will be available on the Fitness app on Monday, June 5.

Madonna isn’t the first pop star to partner with Apple and help users up their workouts. Other musicians who’ve had sets of Apple Fitness+ workouts dedicated to them include Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, ABBA, BTS, Billie Eilish, Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Prince, Shakira, The Beatles, Nicki Minaj and many more.

The Madonna-inspired workouts aren’t the only way that Apple will be shinning a light on the 2SLGBTQI+ community this summer. Starting Monday, May 29, Fitness+ will further celebrate Pride month by introducing seven new workouts and meditations that will exclusively feature music playlists of queer artists and allies while spreading the message of inclusivity and acceptance for all. The workouts will also feature special Pride lighting inspired by the rainbow flag. And, of course Apple Watch users can also enjoy a new Apple Watch Pride Edition Sport Band, matching watch face, and iOS wallpaper — all available now.
