Watch The Trailer For Andrew Ahn's LGBTQ Rom-Com 'Fire Island'

Joel Kim Booster, Bowen Yang, Tomas Matos, Matt Rogers, Torian Miller and Margaret Cho all star in Ahn’s upcoming film…

We finally have our first official glimpse of the new LGBTQ romantic comedy Fire Island. Joel Kim Booster wrote and executive produced the film, with Andrew Ahn as director.

Fire Island reimagines Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice as a tale among queer men who vacation on Fire Island, a hotspot for queer culture in New York. Longtime friends Noah (Joel Kim Booster) and Howie (Bowen Yang) lead the group on the search for love and revels at the island paradise, aided by their “den mother,” Erin (Margaret Cho). Expect romance, sexy situations, drinking and friendship. Conrad Ricamora, Torian Miller, Nick Adams, and Zane Phillips also star.

“I knew I smelled some bottoms!” declares Cho’s character, Erin, when her gaggle of gays arrives to spend a week in her Fire Island beach home.

Streaming on Hulu/Disney+ starting in June, it’s a major studio release that, like its characters, doesn’t care what straight people think of it.

Check back for an exclusive interview with director Andrew Ahn in IN Magazine‘s upcoming May/June 2022 issue, out June 2nd! In the meantime… you can watch the trailer for Fire Island below.
