Hunter Is Celebrating Pride With A Rainbow PLAY Boot

Hunter Boots is launching a pride-inspired version of their best-selling rubber boot…

Hunter is celebrating Pride this month with the launch of a rainbow-edition version of their best-selling PLAY boot.

A long over-due blessing because we all know from experience that the sunny weather isn’t always guaranteed on Pride weekend.

The beloved UK-based heritage brand has been offering up practical rain boots to help battle the elements since its inception in 1856, and more recently found love from fashionable concert goers as a music festival must-have. In honour of Pride month, Hunter has released a limited edition Pride PLAY boot in both a flatform and heeled version. The sleek black boots feature a fun, very visible, rainbow sole to show your pride on those rainy days, as well as a rainbow pull-tab and rainbow Hunter logo at the back of the boot.

The PLAY silhouette is dynamic with a flatter platform sole for maximum comfort and versatility.

Of course, the best-selling boots are 100 per cent waterproof and handcrafted from natural rubber.

To merge charity with fashion, Hunter will be supporting five different LGBTQ charities chosen by the brand’s Pride ambassadors. UK-based entertainer ShayShay has selected The Outside Project to receive a donation, while Tia Simon-Campbell, the co-founder of a popular art exhibition and club night known as BBZ, has chosen the charity NAZ.

Nightlife fixture and host of BBC Radio 1’s Drag Queen Den, Glyn Fussell has selected akt (previously known as the Albert Kennedy Trust) to receive a donation.

Mexican-based gender-neutral model Jay Espinosa has chosen to support MindOut, a mental health service run by and for lesbians, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer people working to improve the mental health and wellbeing within the community.

And, finally transgender dancer Lucy Fizz has chosen Mermaids, a charity that supports gender diverse and transgender children, young people and their families.

All ambassadors are featured in the Hunter Pride PLAY boot campaign seen above.

Hunter‘s Pride PLAY Boots retail for $130 in Canada and are available at the Hunter store at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, the brand’s first store in North America.
