Watch 'Old Gays Try New Gay Slang'

“I think you guys watch too much RuPaul”…

A trio of older gay men have some trouble figuring out the terms and expressions used by younger members of the LGBTQ community in a hilarious new video by Grindr’s online lifestyle magazine, INTO.

In the video, three older gay men—Bill, Robert, and Mick— try pronouncing words and phrases that are commonly used by younger gays like “werk,” “extra,” and “yas kween” and then react to their meaning. Of course the men admit they have their own language, too. Example: the men learn that a newly out gay man is called a “gayby” now, but recall when they were younger they would call him a “chicken.”
