RuPaul Will Hit The Big Screen In A New Project Called ‘Drag Queens On A Plane’

The producers of RuPaul’s Drag Race are set to develop a new comedy film…

World of Wonder, the production company that produces RuPaul’s Drag Race, has announced that they are developing a new scripted feature film, titled Drag Queens On A Plane.

The film is set to star RuPaul on the maiden voyage of Glamazonian Airways. According to WOW, the flight will be packed with drag’s finest… but, some evil trolls who don’t believe in loving yourself will be on board and will do their damnedest to bring the plane down.

“We have seen an overwhelming global demand for scripted and unscripted content illuminating the stories within drag culture,” said World of Wonder co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato. “What was previously thought of as niche is now undeniably mainstream. World of Wonder will continue to bring meaningful, fabulous, filled-with-love entertainment to fans both on screen and off.”

Drag Queens on a Plane is the latest acting role for RuPaul, who was also recently featured on Broad City, Girlboss, and Bianca Del Rio’s 2016 independent film, Hurricane Bianca.

No word yet on when Drag Queens on a Plane will be released… In the meantime may we recommend you re-watch the ultra campy ‘Glamazonian Airways’ challenge from Season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
