Barbie Officially Comes Out In Support Of Marriage Equality

Barbie has come out in support of marriage equality, wearing a “Love Wins” t-shirt in a pair of posts on Mattel’s ‘Barbie Style’ Instagram page…

The world’s most famous doll showed up on the official Barbie Style Instagram account with a doll of L.A. fashion blogger Aimee Song wearing “Love Wins” t-shirts. The Instagram posts are Barbie’s first official foray into LGBT rights.

“Proud to wear this “Love Wins” shirt with @songofstyle!” the caption reads. “Did you know that her exclusive t-shirts benefit different causes and non-profits? Such an inspiring initiative and fabulous few days I have spent with Aimee, she’s a doll! ”

Song reposted the image, writing “Me and @BarbieStyle supporting equal rights because #LOVEWINS. Or as some of you have speculated, maybe we’re secretly dating”

A second post shows the two enjoying a little Avocado toast wearing their marriage equality tees.

The shirt the two dolls are wearing is a mini version of a tee by Two Songs, Aimee’s clothing line with her sister, Dani Song. Half of proceeds from the ‘Love Wins” T-shirts go to the Trevor Project.
