Grab your gowns and glitter, Canada. It’s time to werq!
The legendary RuPaul’s Drag Race “Werq the World” tour is making a triumphant return this October with a brand-new production that pays fabulous homage to awards show glamour. Presented by Voss Events in partnership with World of Wonder and MTV, the 2025 edition of the global drag spectacle will stop in Vancouver on October 15, Edmonton on October 17, and Calgary on October 18, bringing glitz, gowns, and jaw-dropping performances to fans across the country.
This year’s theme invites audiences to step behind the velvet rope into the most exclusive event in drag herstory: a star-studded awards ceremony celebrating the art of drag like never before. Hosted by two of the most unforgettable Drag Race legends: Jimbo (channeling the biting wit of Joan Rivers) and Sasha Velour (transforming into icons like Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Marlene Dietrich), this is more than a show. It’s a full-on red carpet fantasy.

“WERQ THE WORLD, the largest drag show on earth, is celebrated for its grand themes and spectacular production,” says tour producer Brandon Voss. “This year, we’re inviting fans to relive the most iconic moments in awards show history with a fabulous drag twist.”
Audiences in Canada can expect an all-star lineup of queens turning it out as the most legendary figures in pop culture. The tour will feature Daya Betty as Lady Gaga, Derrick Barry as Britney Spears, Jaida Essence Hall and Naomi Smalls serving Beyoncé realness, Jorgeous bringing Ariana Grande to life, Kim Chi delivering the elegance of Celine Dion, Morphine heating things up as Shakira, Roxxxy Andrews as the ultimate diva, Mariah Carey and Vanessa Vanjie stunning as Rihanna. Note: Talent varies by city; fans should check local listings for confirmed cast.

Following packed houses across Europe, Asia, Australia, and Latin America, the 2025 North American leg kicked off in August and will play 48 cities before wrapping up in Monterrey, Mexico on October 25. Stops include major metropolises like New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Seattle, cementing the tour’s reputation as a global celebration of drag culture.
Jon Norris of Voss Events adds, “This year’s production is a love letter to Awards Season and to the drag legends who make it so unforgettable.”
Tickets are on sale now at WerqTheWorld.com, including limited VIP packages that offer fans exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities with the queens.
