Watch The Trailer For ‘Heartstopper’ Season 2

Heads up! Nick and Charlie are finally an official couple…

Netflix has released the highly anticipated first trailer for season 2 of Heartstopper. Alice Oseman’s beloved Tumblr web-comic-turned-graphic-novel-turned-Netflix series is set to start streaming on August 3.

The just-released trailer shows Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) facing more love life and friendship dilemmas, with Nick figuring out how to come out to the people in his life, Elle (Yasmin Finney) and Tao’s (William Gao) crush, and Darcy (Corinna Brown) and Tara (Kizzy Edgell) saying “I love you.” The fan-favourite Truham students are also shown preparing for prom and heading to Paris on a school trip with their classmates.

Season 2 will also feature a few new characters. Oseman also previously suggested that the upcoming season will be “darker” than the first outing.

“Season two’s… aim was to capture the joy and the magic of season one while also feeling that the characters have grown up and matured a little bit, so we’re exploring some things that are maybe a little bit darker than season one,” Oseman said.

“The romances are getting a little bit more mature… it’s like an elevation, I like to think, of season one.”

You can watch the official trailer for season two below.

Heartstopper season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix, and season 2 will premiere on August 3. Check back later this week for our review of season 2.
