Toronto Blue Jays Hosting 2023 Pride Weekend

Who’s ready for some baseball…

The Toronto Blue Jays are set to help kick off Pride Month in the city by hosting their annual Blue Jays Pride weekend at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. The annual Blue Jays Pride weekend is set for Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 when the Blue Jays play the Minnesota Twins.

On Friday, June 9 only, the first 15,000 fans admitted to the stadium will receive a Blue Jays Rainbow Flag Jersey.

In addition to giveaways, performances and entertainment, the overall mission of Pride Night at the Rogers Centre is to provide an inclusive environment for all fans. Fans are actually encouraged to arrive early for a ton of pregame interactive activities.

In addition, to Friday night’s game Pride Weekend festivities will continue the following afternoon when the Blue Jays will once again play the Minnesota Twins on Saturday afternoon.

Of course this isn’t the first year the team has encouraged inclusively with Pride festivities. The Toronto Blue Jays have previously hosted Pride Nights in 2019 when they played the New York Yankees and in 2018 when they played the Baltimore Orioles. Last year marked the first time in two years that the Blue Jays were finally home because of the COVID-19 pandemic and Pride Night resumed with the Blue Jays playing the Minnesota Twins. This season’s event will build off the success of past events with the goal of growing the team’s relationship with the 2SLGBTQI+ community in Toronto to ensure a positive fan experience regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion or other.

Tickets for the Toronto Blue Jays Pride Night at Rogers Centre on Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10, are available now at bluejays.com/tickets.
