It was a heartbreaking end to this week’s Slaysian Royale episode as Mama Pao paid tribute to her fellow judge who passed in April…
The ending of Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royal’s latest episode left fans in tears. The fifth episode of the All Stars-like series, which features a cast of global Asian queens, paid tribute to judge Jiggly Caliente who passed away in April.
After the elimination of Philippines contestant Bernie, head judge Mama Pao (or Paolo Ballesteros) began her usual sign-off. “Remember, always be true to yourself, in your thoughts, in your words, and in all that you do.” The head judge’s voice then broke as she began to choke up. “We love you Jiggly,” she concluded.
It was revealed by guest judge and Drag Race Philippines season two winner, Captivating Katkat, that the panel had just been informed of Jiggly’s passing. In the episode, the winner can be seen breaking down into tears before covering her face and leaning over the judge’s desk.
“This episode was really emotional for us; after the critics, they informed us about Jiggly’s passing. That’s why we’re crying in the latter part of the episode. We missed you sis Jiggly!”
Jiggly served as an official judge on Drag Race Philippines for three seasons. She not only sat next to Mama Pao, but witnessed Captivating Katkat’s coronation.
What happened to Jiggly Caliente?
The beloved Drag Race star died at the age of 44 in April. A few days before her death her family released a statement about her health. On the drag star’s Instagram account it was revealed her right leg was amputated. “Bianca (Jiggly’s off-stage name), has experienced a serious health setback,” the statement reads. “Due to a severe infection she was hospitalized and, as a result, had undergone the loss of most of her right leg.” The post went on to say the queen’s recovery would be extensive.
Sadly, three days later she passed. “Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends,” an Instagram post from her family read. The statement went on to discuss her artistry and activism.
Jiggly was a proud trans woman, appearing on two seasons of the American version of Drag Race. She competed on season four and on All Stars 6, where she delivered energy, chaos, heart and passion. The drag superstar also dabbled in acting appearing in Pose and Broad City. She also released music with her first single Fckboi in 2018.
The reaction by the judging panel and from fans worldwide watching, proves the queen made a massive impact.
