The brides wed over Labour Day weekend wearing custom Louis Vuitton pieces for their ceremony and after-party…
Wedding bells were ringing this past weekend as Carrie star Chloë Grace Moretz tied the knot with model and photographer Kate Harrison. According to Vogue, the pair said “I do” in a ceremony that included fishing, horseback riding and poker. “A big part of the wedding [is about] sharing things that Kate and I love with everyone…” the actress told the fashion magazine. It’s unknown where the private ceremony took place.
Moretz and Harrison have reportedly been dating since 2018, after the pair were spotted kissing at NOBU in Malibu. The two have kept their relationship private for the last seven years. While they were rumoured to be dating and have been spotted at LGBTQ+ marches, Moretz’s sexuality wasn’t confirmed until November 2024. Ahead of the presidential election, the Kick-Ass star publicly came out on Instagram. “I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman,” she stated in a passionate post about her vote for vice president Kamala Harris.
In April 2024, while at Disneyland, Moretz and Harrison were spotted wearing rings on their fingers. It wasn’t until a New Year’s Day Instagram slideshow that the two seemingly confirm their engagement.
What did Moretz wear on her wedding day?
The wedding gown and after-party looks for the brides were done by Louis Vuitton. Moretz, an ambassador for the brand, told Vogue she immediately knew she wanted Louis Vuitton’s artistic director, Nicolas Ghesquière, to do her dress. She describes the response from Ghesquière as being overwhelmingly excited. “…not only would he be willing to make my wedding dress, but he also wanted to include Kate in that—and to make both of the wedding dresses and our after-party looks,” she told Vogue.

Moretz’s dress personified Old Hollywood glamour. The dress was light blue with a matching veil that also doubled as a train. She accessorized the dress with elbow length gloves. “Words can’t begin to express how this feels,” she wrote on Instagram.
Her after-party look fit in perfectly with the horseback riding and line dancing that reportedly occurred. She wore a custom jacket with slits around the waist to show off her tattoos. It was paired with trousers and a cowboy hat. The star described the outfit as an “ice cream” colour.
“Originally, they talked about the after-party look being blue as well, but then, since the wedding dress is blue, they decided to have a white moment with the after-party look,” she revealed to Vogue. “I love it because you can see my tattoos peeking on the side.”
What did Kate Harrison wear to her wedding?
Harrison’s ceremony look was white with a sweetheart neckline and embroidery down the length of the dress. “When I had that meeting with Nicolas, and I mentioned the idea of embellishment he just lit up,” the former J. Crew and Topshop model told Vogue. “I couldn’t even imagine a pattern or [think of an] idea to even suggest, and he just created this artwork of flowing embroidery.”
Harrison’s after-party look was a bodice with trousers and a sheer overlay. “I’ve always loved sheer overlays,” Harrison explained to Vogue during her final look at the outfits in Paris. “So when I mentioned that to Nicolas, he was immediately like I’ll do it for your after look, I think it’s stunning. And he blew it away!”
