Popular Gay Porn Star Colton Ford Dies At 62

Glenn Soukesian, best known as the adult film star and pop singer Colton Ford, has reportedly died. He was 62 years old…

Popular gay porn star Colton Ford has died following an accident during a hike on the weekend. Ford, known outside of the gay adult film industry as Glenn Soukesian, was 62 years old when he died on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Colton Ford was never just one thing. He was a porn star, yes — one of the most recognizable gay adult performers of the early 2000s — but he was also a singer, a hopeful crossover artist with a magnetic screen presence, and, above all, a man who lived many lives in full view of a community that both adored and scrutinized him.

“With a very heavy heart I share this tragic news,” wrote Tim Wood. “While we don’t have all the details, I never would have dreamed that the photo below of Glenn Soukesian (Colton Ford) and I from 3 weeks ago would be our last. Glenn was involved in a tragic hiking accident this past weekend that took his life. He was a brilliant artist who always kept a song in his heart. Sweet, funny, kind, sassy – and hopelessly handsome. My heart is broken – it’s almost too much to take. One of my best friends, a man who helped save my life many years ago. I miss you terribly………I can’t stop the flood of tears. Sing with the angels, my beautiful, special soul. I love you. ❤”

Starting at 40: Reinventing what a gay adult star could be

Ford was born on October 12, 1962 in Pasadena, California. Surprisingly, he only started working in the adult film industry at the age of 40. He appeared in dozens of popular gay adult films during his career, winning a number of awards including “Gay Performer of the Year” at the 2003 GayVN Awards.

Outside of the adult film industry, he also appeared in plenty of mainstream films including The Next Best Thing with Madonna (2000), Circuit (2001), Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild! (2008), and 28 episodes of the gay-themed TV series The Lair as “Sheriff Trout” (2007 – 2009).

Ford made his off-Broadway debut in 2011 playing a role in the musical theatre Little House on the Ferry, a modern gay love story set in the legendary summer resort of Fire Island. He later starred in And All The Dead, Lie Down (2014) in Los Angeles.

You can also spot him in Cyndi Lauper’s popular 2008 music video for “Into the Nightlife.”

Speaking of music: As a recording artist, Ford released several albums and singles, including Tug of War(2008), Under the Covers (2009), The Way I Am (2013), and the Next Chapter EP (2015). His 2004 single, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” with Pepper Mashay, reached #9 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart.

He transitioned into mainstream entertainment with the 2005 documentary Naked Fame, which chronicled his shift from adult films to a career in music.

Following his death of Monday, May 19, news slowly started to be released and Ford’s friends and industry peers have begun to share social media posts confirming his death and mourning his loss. DJ and adult film director Chi Chi LaRue shared the news on Facebook:

“I’m So Shocked and Saddened to Hear and Report the sudden passing of my friend and Icon Glen aka Colton Ford! You will missed! Keep Singing In Heaven!”

Colton Ford’s death follows the death of gay porn star Damien Stone, the death of gay porn star Roman Mercury, and the death of popular gay pornstar Tim Kruger, which have also been announced in recent weeks.

Rest in peace.
