Elliot Page To Release Memoir In 2023 Titled 'Pageboy'

The memoir will include everything from his Oscar-nominated film career to his relationship with his body…

Elliot Page is getting candid about his life in an upcoming memoir. The actor is set to release his memoir Pageboy in 2023.

“The memoir will delve into Page’s relationship with his body, his experiences as one of the most famous trans people in the world, and will cover mental health, assault, love, relationships, sex, and the cesspool that Hollywood can be,” publisher Flatiron Books shared in a press release.

The AP reports that Page will also open up about his acting career, during which he received an Oscar nomination in 2008 for Juno, and his experience in the transgender community.

34-year-old Page opened up about his gender identity to fans in 2020.

“Hi friends,” he wrote at the time. “I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life.”

“I also ask for patience,” he continued. “My joy is real, but it is also fragile. The truth is, despite feeling profoundly happy right now and knowing how much privilege I carry, I am also scared. I’m scared of the invasiveness, the hate, the ‘jokes’ and of violence.”

Page is currently staring in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy.
