With Nike Air Max Month in full effect, the IN Run Crew did something a little special for our top fundraiser of last year’s Pride and Remembrance Run. Toronto-based designer, Arthur Mendonca, was given the opportunity to create his very own custom Air Max powered by NIKEiD.
If you didn’t know already, Nike has developed a stellar way to take your favourite Air Max’ and make them unique to suit your own personal style. By starting with your favourite shoe, you’re then able to change the colours, materials and create a custom iD. The service, which was initially launched in 2012, has quickly become a fan favourite and has continued to impress sneakerheads around the world as it relentlessly expands the ways in which you’re able to personalize your next pair of kicks.
The event seemed timely as the IN Run Crew gears up for its next installment of queer runs. Starting April 27, until June 15, the IN Run Crew will be training for the annual Pride and Remembrance Run. Each week, our goal is to push our runners (beginners and more experienced) to their limits, and train them on the dos and donts of running safely and effectively. Last year, the IN Run Crew came in second for the “Top Fundraising Group”. This year, we are aiming for the #1 spot!
